So, did I get redlined by Durham Magazine?

I'm still waiting for my copy. Did you get yours? Let me know what neighborhood you live in for my map of who's in and who's out.

  • Nor I, in DP near DE

  • Nope, and I'm in Walltown. I do get the Clipper, however. It has Honey's coupons. Does Durham Magazine have Honey's coupons?

By Blogger toastie, at 10:18 AM

  • Yes, we did. I would categorize us as northern SW Durham, no-name neighborhood.

By Blogger Valerie at We Love Durham, at 10:29 AM

  • Nope. And you know where I live. :)

  • None here on the northside of TP.

By Blogger KeepDurhamDifferent!, at 11:42 AM

  • none for us in colonial village (27704).

  • Ahhh, I see. I live in the Burch Ave. Neighborhood and I didn't get one either. However, my friend's parents got one just outside of the city limits in NW Durham.

I suppose if you live on the edges (or maybe OND and Trinity Park) you received one.

    I haven't read it yet.

  • per above comments...persons in OND and trinity park have NOT rcvd one...

  • Their advertising rate card goes on and on about how they target homes with a medium income of something like $124,000 or above.

We're all just too poor to rate a copy.

I imagine they use a mailing house and scary Big Brother info source like InfoUSA to create their mailing list and don't go solely by neighborhood or zip code.

    Speak for yourself.

  • Not all of North TP missed the magazine. We're on Duke, south of Englewood, and got our copy.

  • No Durham Magazine here.

    Anyone know what it's about?

    oh, wait, look:

  • I didn't get one, but then I'm in East Durham, and everyone knows we're all poor and lawbreaking....

By Blogger Margaret, at 11:01 AM

  • We didn't get one, but Pizza Hut won't even deliver to our Dearborn neighborhood, so we didn't really expect it. Like Margaret, we're all poor, lawbreaking, and ethnic over here - obviously not deserving of the magazine.

  • I'm in the slums of Trinity Park, and I didn't get one. I'm also poorer than their target demographic, too. I shop at Goodwill and read library books. I guess I'll have to scrounge a copy somehow and then make a point of ridiculing them in my blog to make up for my inadequacies.

  • We in south Durham near Parkwood got ours last week.

By Blogger Tanner Lovelace, at 11:22 AM

  • Wonder if they got their delivery list from Pizza Hut. I can't get them, either. Papa Johns, I can get, but no Pizza Hut....

By Blogger Margaret, at 12:31 PM

  • Is it a comp magazine that comes in the mail?

We just bought one at Barnes & Noble on a RARE visit to Southpoint. $4.00.

I tell you what, there's some cool photography in there, especially of Cool John Ferguson and some folks I know from around town.
